Visiting Québec City by bike with your family
Québec City is a great place to explore by bike with kids, as long as you choose the right route and the right gear for their age. Here are our tips.

Little ones: seat, trailer or tag-along
Before a child can pedal alone, there are three options:
- A baby seat, attached to an adult’s bike.
- A kids’ trailer, sheltered from sun and rain.
- A tag-along or WeeHoo, for kids who want to pedal without dealing with traffic.

Kids who pedal
We rent kids’ bikes in different sizes. Choose a flat path away from traffic: the Saint-Charles River or the Promenade Samuel-De Champlain are ideal.
Guided tours open to young riders
Several of our tours welcome riders under 18, who ride city bikes:
- Along the River : from age 6.
- Lower Town and Grand Marché : from age 8, on flat terrain.
- Montmorency Falls : from age 12, about 25 km round trip.
- Winter fatbike : from age 12.
E-bikes are reserved for riders 18 and older, as per our policy: young riders always ride city bikes, which is reflected in the child rate.

Our tips for a great ride
- Plan short distances and frequent breaks.
- Bring water and snacks.
- Check that every helmet fits properly before you leave.
- Give each child’s height when you book so their bike is ready.
