Things to do in Québec City by bike: 6 rides from the Old Port
Québec City’s bike network starts right at the Old Port. Whether you have two hours or a full day, here are six rides we recommend every day at the counter, from shortest to longest.

1. The Saint-Charles River and the Grand Marché
A flat path that follows the river through Saint-Roch and Limoilou to the Grand Marché de Québec. Perfect for a first ride or with kids. It’s also the route of our tour Lower Town and Grand Marché.

2. The Promenade Samuel-De Champlain
Along the river, heading west, to the Quai des Cageux and its observation tower in Sillery. The views of the St. Lawrence are among the best in the city. See our tour Along the River.
3. Montmorency Falls
On the Corridor du Littoral, about 25 km round trip to the foot of the falls, higher than Niagara Falls. Our most requested ride. See the Montmorency Falls tour.

4. Lévis and the Parcours des Anses
Bring your bike on board the ferry: the view of the Château Frontenac from the middle of the river is worth the trip. On the other side, the Parcours des Anses runs along the South Shore. See the tour Ferry and Lévis coves.

5. The Plains of Abraham via Côte Gilmour
From the Promenade Samuel-De Champlain, the Côte Gilmour path climbs to the Plains of Abraham. On an e-bike, the climb is effortless. It’s the start of our tour Treasures of Old Québec.
6. Wendake via the Corridor des Cheminots
For a big day: a former railway line with gentle grades leads to Wendake, about 40 km round trip. See the Wendake tour.
