The most beautiful places to bike this fall

Even though it gets cooler in the fall, you can still ride your road bike for a while yet. Plus, it’s the perfect season to admire the fall colours at your own pace!

The most beautiful places to ride your road bike this fall

If you don’t want to put your bike away just yet and you have the gear to brave the cold, head out on the region’s bike paths. Here are some of the places we especially love to ride in the fall.

Parcours des Anses

How about discovering the natural beauty of the South Shore while riding along the river? The Parcours des Anses, more than 15 km long, is very popular with cyclists for its varied scenery.

It lets you discover the architecture of Lévis’s neighbourhoods and enjoy an incredible view of Québec City. If you like taking photos on your rides, you won’t find a better place to capture your trip.

Promenade Samuel-De Champlain

Whatever the season, you’ll surely see people walking or riding on the Promenade Samuel-De Champlain, and for good reason. You won’t find many other places to admire the river this close! This urban trail runs along the boulevard of the same name for more than four kilometres and is easy to reach from downtown Québec City.

It also has several points of interest where you can stop and take a break. If you’re looking for an extra challenge, you can even ride it, take the Québec-Lévis ferry and continue on the Parcours des Anses! Our guided tours Along the River and Ferry and Lévis coves follow these two routes.

Corridor des Cheminots

Looking for a bike challenge that matches your abilities? The Corridor des Cheminots will keep you going. Very popular with cyclists, this long 22 km route crosses several Québec City neighbourhoods all the way to the town of Shannon.

It’s also very interesting to ride for the points of interest you’ll find along it in the fall. It’s the perfect outing for experienced cyclists who want to see their city from a new angle!

Know other great routes for road bikes and want to share them with us? Feel free to write to us on our Facebook page or contact us through our website! Our team always loves discovering lesser-known places to ride at our own pace. Happy fall, everyone!
