Mechanics course

Since 1995, Cyclo Services Inc. has offered bicycle mechanics courses which are recognized by Vélo Québec: Mécanique I and Mécanique II. For beginners or for those who would like to deepen their knowledge and achieve a certain autonomy during their bike rides, we also offer tailor-made private lessons or in small groups. These courses are given from the end of October until the end of March; for more details, the full schedule is available on our site.

Cancellation more than a week before the date of the first lesson: 50% refund.

Courses offered

MECHANICS I - TROUBLESHOOTING ON THE ROAD

150 $

+ taxes

This course will teach you how to repair a flat tire and make minor adjustments to the brakes and gears of your bike.
It is for beginners and experienced cyclists (there is always knowledge or techniques to learn or improve!).
Duration of 6 hours (approx.).
Evening, weekday or weekend schedule depending on availability.
Note: you will finally understand why and how to change gears!

MECHANICS II - BIKE MAINTENANCE AT HOME

300 $

+ taxes

This course will allow you to learn the complete tuning of your bike: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, lubrication, reassembly and adjustment of the various bearings.
It is for beginners and experienced cyclists.
Duration of 14 hours (approx.)
Weekday schedule during the day or on the weekends depending on availability.
Also on the program: adjustment of brakes and speeds, rudiments of wheel alignment.
Note: you will know how to check the wear of the components of your bike and replace them if necessary.

We take our health measures seriously so that you can learn bicycle mechanics in a safe environment:

Limited number of participants per group
Wearing a mask is compulsory when the distance cannot be respected
Disinfectant available to everyone
Work space for each student
Disinfection of workspaces and shared equipment after the passage of each participant
