Renting a bike in Québec City: the practical guide
Visiting Québec City or just want to ride for a day without bringing your own bike? Here’s what to know before renting a bike in the Old Port: choosing a bike, what’s included and the best trails from our shop.

Which bike should you choose?
The right bike depends mostly on the distance and terrain of your ride.
- City bike : upright and comfortable riding position, ideal for bike paths and rides of a few hours.
- E-bike : the pedal assist helps on the Upper Town hills and over long distances. It’s reserved for riders 18 and older.
- Road or touring bike : for experienced cyclists who want to ride further and faster.
- Tandem : to ride together, even if you’re not at the same level.
- Kids’ bikes : so young riders can ride their own bike.

Your height matters
Our bikes fit riders from 147 cm to 198 cm (4 ft 10 in to 6 ft 6 in). When you book, we ask for each rider’s height: that’s how we prepare a properly fitted bike before you arrive.
What’s included
Every rental includes a helmet, a lock, a bike path map and our route tips at the counter. Need to carry a child or luggage? Add a baby seat, a trailer, a tag-along or panniers.
Book ahead or walk in?
In summer and on weekends, book online: it’s the surest way to get the bike and size you need. Bookings are refundable if you cancel up to 24 hours before.
Where to ride from the Old Port
289 rue Saint-Paul is steps away from the city’s main bike paths:
- To Montmorency Falls on the Corridor du Littoral, about 25 km round trip, almost all on bike paths.
- To Sillery on the Promenade Samuel-De Champlain, along the river.
- Along the Saint-Charles River, on flat terrain, to the Grand Marché.
- To Lévis by ferry, then the Parcours des Anses on the South Shore.
